Reduction NPLs

State-owned banks reduced non-performing loan (NPL) portfolios by UAH 108 billion ($4.1 bln). Since January 2020, the reduction in the level of NPLs in the period to September was 35%. State-owned banks reduced NPL portfolios by UAH 108 billion, which is almost 80% of the total reduction in the banking system.  The announcement was made by the press service of the Ministry of Finance, noting that state-owned banks currently do not see regulatory obstacles on the part of the NBU and the government to effectively resolve bad debts. At the same time, banks expect more effective protection of their rights in the courts.
